They do battle on Glasgow Rocks’ home turf as both attempt to grab the head-to-head tie-breaker and take a step closer to finishing in the top four in the BBL Championship.

Both teams could be level on points if Glasgow win their Friday match-up, making the game a potential decider for who finishes fourth.

Worcester Wolves will also be keeping an eye on the game as both sides could still overtake them into third before the season ends too.

Sheffield battered Glasgow on their patch early in the season before Rocks returned the favour, beating Sharks at the EIS the last time the two clubs met to level the season series one apiece.

The home team go into the match in great form, winning five of their last six to break free from a season that was beginning to stall.

Sheffield have been much more up and down this season than their opponents, but do go into the game on the back of two straight home wins, including a 78-70 victory over Bristol Flyers.

Sheffield’s MVP candidate Jerrold Brooks scored a third of Sharks’ points in that game, a performance that led to his seventh All Star Five selection this season, tied for most in the league.

Sharks Coach Atiba Lyons knows Brooks and the rest of his team will be strongly tested against Glasgow.

“They are a really good team.” Coach Lyons said. “They move the ball well. It’s difficult to play a team like that because you don’t know where the scoring is going to come from.”

The game is scheduled for 5pm at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.
