The event combines the fun of coloured powder runs with giant obstacles seen on hit TV programmes such as Wipeout, It’s a Knockout and Ninja Warriors.

A spokesman for the Finnish firm behind the event said: “After a fun pre-workout to make sure everyone is warmed up, you will start the Rush by pushing through foam and getting doused with color powder while climbing up and down nets, making your way down giant slides, leaping through bouncy castles, crawling under inflatable beams, digging through a giant ball pit, and of course, the huge party at the finish line as your reward for completing the Rush.

“There are 10 obstacles in total along with nine coloring stations throughout the five-kilometre course – unmatched by any other fun run.”

Up to 5,600 people can take part in the rush on Saturday, September 12, with a capacity of 800 people for each of the seven starting slots, from 9.30am until 12.45pm.

Early-bird entry, which is available until Thursday, costs £31.20, rising to £36 until Wednesday, July 8, and £40.80 from July 9 to race day.
