A young woman had her bag snatched by a teenage boy in the middle of the street.
The 18-year-old victim was walking along Edlington Lane in Edlington when she was approached by a lad who grabbed her bag, snapped the handle and ran off with it towards Staveley Street.
The offender is described as a white male, about 17-years-old, six feet tall, of slim build and he wearing a white hooded top. The incident happened on Friday, November 21, at 6pm.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and a spokeswoman said: “Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the theft or has any information about who is responsible.”
