The 18-year-old was driving a blue Vauxhall Corsa along Doncaster Road, East Dene, when he crashed into a wall at around 5.17am yesterday.

South Yorkshire Police said the young man was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Witnesses to the crash or anyone in the area at the time of the collision should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 100 of March 29.
