Yobs carry out £5,000 trail of destruction at Doncaster cricket club

Equipment was smashed and fixtures and fittings destroyed in the attack, which took place last night at Warmsworth Cricket Club.

Among the items smashed was a life saving defibrillator.

Now police in Doncaster have urged anyone with information about the attack to come forward with information

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “At approximately 9pm on Monday 18 May, £5,000 of criminal damage has been caused to items on the pitch and items connected to the building including a life saving defibrillator.

“Were you around at that time? Can you help identify the suspects responsible?”

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference number 163 of 19 May 2020.

The statement added: “To those responsible – this place is loved and maintained by the community. We and the community will not tolerate this criminal behaviour.”
