Hide AdA spokesman for Doncaster Central Neighbourhood Policing Team posted on Facebook: “Unfortunately these master criminals had not realised that the boat had a hole in it, and they had no oars.
“Thankfully they were rescued by a passing barge, before we had to waste the time of the fire service trying to rescue the world's worst sailors.”
"Once brought back to shore, officers arrested the wannabe pirates.”
They are now in our cells letting the rum wear off before they get interviewed."
The boat was later returned to its owner.
