Woman left with head injuries after being knocked down by a car on busy Sheffield street

A 30-year-old woman has suffered head injuries after a car crashed into her on a major Sheffield street earlier this evening.

South Yorkshire Police confirmed that a woman has been left with head injuries after a blue golf crashed into her on Savile Street, opposite Tesco Extra at around 5.55pm today (Thursday, October 1).

The 30-year-old was then taken to hospital with injuries to the head, which are believed to be non-life threatening at this stage.

Two police cars remain on the scene.
