Woman knocked out by man throwing glass bottle as she waited in queue for Sheffield nightclub

Officers investigating a serious assault outside a Sheffield nightclub are appealing for witnesses to come forward and assist with their investigation.

Honeycomb nightclub, which has no closed down, was on Ecclesall Road.

It is reported that on Sunday 21 April 2019 around 10:30pm, a 23 year-old woman was standing outside of Honeycomb nightclub on Ecclesall Road waiting to enter the club.

During this time, two men were escorted out of the club by door staff. It is believed that one of the men then threw a large glass bottle into the crowd of people. The bottle has struck the victim in her face, knocking her unconscious and causing her significant facial and dental injuries.

Officers have released CCTV footage of the incident in a bid for witnesses and those who can identify the man in the footage to come forward.
