Woman in hospital after Sheffield double shooting

A woman remains in hospital as police investigate a double shooting in Sheffield.

It is reported that just before 8pm last night (January 6), shots were fired at a property on Castledale Croft on the Manor.

A 42-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man inside the property received minor injuries and were both taken to hospital to receive treatment.

The 42-year-old woman remains in hospital at this time, South Yorkshire Police have confirmed.

An hour later, at around 9pm, there was a second gunshot discharge, on Prince of Wales Road.

The two incidents are being treated as linked.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 790 of January 6.
