Woman assaulted paramedic and police officer in Sheffield

A woman assaulted a paramedic and police officer in Sheffield and spat all over an ambulance, which had to be taken out of service.

South Yorkshire Police said officers from its Fir Vale team had been out on COVID-19 patrols and were called on to help colleagues from Yorkshire Ambulance Service attending to a female patient on Wednesday when the shocking incident happened.

The force said that no one was seriously injured and the patient remained in police custody.
