Witnesses sought after motorcyclist, 25, dies in Mothers' Day crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Hemingfield, Barnsley on Mother’s Day (March 22).

Around 4.50pm a white Renault Megane and a white off-road motorcycle collided on Cemetery Road, at the junction with Lady Croft Lane.

A 25-year-old Barnsley man riding the motorcycle suffered fatal injuries and sadly died. His family has been notified and is receiving specialist support.

The Renault driver, a 27-year-old man, was uninjured.

Witnesses should call police on 101 quoting incident number 495 of 22 March 2020.
