Three people are standing trial for allegedly running over and murdering a man in Barnsley earlier this year.

Liam Green died after he was struck by a white VW Touarey on Rose Tree Avenue, in Cudworth, on the evening of April 3, 2026. He was 45.
Today (October 6), two men and a woman are set to go before a jury at Sheffield Crown Court charged with his murder.
Mark Wigley, 60, Sarah Wigley, 39, and Neil Shaw, 54 - all of Royston Road, Cudworth - are accused of knowingly hitting Liam with the vehicle in an altercation.
Mark Wigley was reportedly the driver, with his daughter, Sarah Wigley, and brother-in-law, Neil, as passengers in the car.
They have all pleaded not guilty.
