Emergency services flooded a Sheffield street after a four-car smash left two men needing hospital treatment.

Police were called to Staniforth Road just before 4pm on Saturday (21 November) following the collision involving a silver Astra, black BMW, blue Corsa and silver Yaris.

The circumstances of the crash are not known but two men were taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life threatening.

A fire engine was also spotted at the scene and part of the road was temporarily closed to traffic.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We received a report just before 4pm on Saturday, 21 November to a collision on Staniforth Road, Sheffield. Four vehicles were involved, silver Astra, black BMW, blue Corsa and silver Yaris. Two men were taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life threatening.

“The road was closed at the junction with Tockwith Road. It was reopened at 6pm.”
