Council chiefs hope waste collection services will be caught up with this week after they were suspended in a Sheffield suburb following a murder.

Collections on and around Greenland Drive, Darnall, were put on hold after 42-year-old Mohammed Khalil was found stabbed to death in his flat in the early hours of last Tuesday.

Officers cordoned off the block of flats where he lived following the discovery of his injured body.

Connor O’Brien, 26, of Jubilee Road, Darnall, has appeared at court charged with murder.
