“Anyone shielding him will face arrest and serious charges.”

During Whittle’s murder trial, jurors heard that Mr Lyall was found with 170 separate injuries on his body after he was tortured.

Whittle was living with Mr Lyall at the time of his death and was said to have been involved in helping Ali deal drugs.

The search for Ali has previously featured on the BBC’s Crimewatch Roadshow but he continues to evade arrest.
