A South Yorkshire sex offender wanted by the police after he went to ground is back in custody.

Thomas Braithwaite, aged 24 and from Barnsley, was circulated as ‘wanted’ by South Yorkshire Police last week after he was released from prison but failed to provide authorities with an address or make contact with officers from the offender management team.
Both were requirements of his release from prison.
Braithwaite, a registered sex offender, made contact with officers on Friday, July 31 and is behind bars.
