Wanted man who was 'actively evading' South Yorkshire Police now in custody

Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with seven thefts in Rotherham town centre in the last month.

Officers appealed for help catching Clark Oliver, 34, – who they said was 'actively evading' them.

However they say he is now in custody and have thanked members of the public for sharing their appeal.

South Yorkshire Police wrote on social media (SIC): “Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal for wanted man Clark Oliver from #Rotherham - he is now in police custody. We appreciate your support!”
