A man and woman are in hospital this morning following a stabbing in Sheffield.
The 46-year-old man and 44-year-old woman were attacked in a property on Porter Brook View, Sharrow, yesterday.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 6pm and found the man with knife wounds to his neck.
He is in a serious but stable condition today.
The woman was also hurt but her injuries were not serious.
A 44-year-old man has been arrested over the attack.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “A 46-year-old man is in a serious but stable condition in hospital following a reported stabbing in the Porter Brook View area of Sheffield.
“Police were called shortly after 6pm on Thursday to a property in Porter Brook View where a man was found with serious injuries to his neck.
“A 46-year-old woman also received stab wounds, which are not serious.
“A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.”
