A manhunt has been stepped up in a bid to catch a pervert who has been targeting schoolgirls on their way home.
Officers investigating indecent assaults in Doncaster have released a CCTV image and are re-appealing for information after reports of a fifth attack on an 11-year-old.
CCTV footage taken shortly after the latest incident in Ashcourt Drive, Balby has been released by police in a bid to help catch the attacker.
Superintendent Peter Norman said: “If anyone knows the identity of the man, we would encourage them to come forward and contact the police.
“These crimes are of an exceptionally serious nature and we are concerned that the man is targeting very young girls.”
A letter will be going to all of the schools in Doncaster to make parents aware of the incident.
An 11-year-old girl was walking down a footpath towards Ashcourt Drive, Balby when she was allegedly approached by a man last Wednesday afternoon after school, June 12.
The man made comments to the girl and tried to hug and kiss her.
She was able to push him away and run home.
The incident is the fifth to be reported in the space of two months.
The man is described as white with a sun tan, brown hair which is gelled and combed back, 5ft 11ins and in his 30s.
He had a chubby belly and black in his teeth.
He was wearing jeans, black shoes and a burgundy T-shirt and spoke with an English accent.
The other four incidents in which a man is said to have fondled girls’ chests before running off involve two 12-year-old girls, a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old.
