Bosses at the centre have issued a statement, saying: “We are disappointed to inform our patients and local community that our Practice building has been the target of criminal damage affecting some of our clinical rooms.

“As a result of this vandalism, NHS funds that would otherwise be used to support and improve patient services must now be redirected towards repairing and replacing the damage.”

They said South Yorkshire Police had been notified and that the centre centre had CCTV footage.

They are also asking their neighbours and the local community to be aware of the incident and to help them protect the health centre so that NHS resources could remain focused on patient care rather than repairing avoidable damage.

Woodhouse Health Centre, Primary Care Sheffield and South Yorkshire Police have all been approached for comment on the incident.
