Police are hunting vandals responsible for damaging four buses in a Sheffield suburb in 90 minutes.

The buses, operated by First, all had their windows smashed when they travelled through Ecclesfield last Thursday night.

Drivers told police that they had missiles hurled at them between 6.50pm and 8.20pm.

A number of journeys had to be cancelled and other services were diverted.

A First spokesman said: “We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused if you were waiting for a journey which didn’t run.

“Images from our on-bus CCTV have been reviewed and all relevant information regarding these incidents has now been passed on to the police.”

Witnesses or anyone with information should call police on 101.
