Applications are being invited from people interested in scrutinising the work of Derbyshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner.

A vacancy has arisen in the Police and Crime Panel, which oversees the work of Commissioner Alan Charles, who is responsible for setting the priorities and resources for Derbyshire police and supporting community safety activities.

The panel reviews the Commissioner’s police and crime plan and annual report, his senior appointments and the level of council tax he proposes local people should pay towards policing.

It also investigates any complaints about the Commissioner’s conduct.
