Two Sheffield men appear in court over murder of Danny Irons

Two men appeared at court today charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death in Sheffield.

Dad-of-three Danny Irons, aged 32, was knifed in a violent attack on Fretson Green, Manor, in the early hours of Saturday.

Daniel Chadwick, 29, of Melville Drive and Ross Turton, 29 of Daneswood Avenue both in Sheffield appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court.

They are also due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday. Both have been remanded in custody.

Previously, a 24-year-old man and 28-year-old man arrested have been released under investigation.

In her tribute to Danny, his mum Christine Irons 51, said she is still struggling to come to terms with her family’s loss.

She said she is desperate for answers about Danny’s death and why he was targeted on the estate where he grew up.

A fundraising appeal has also been launched to help the family give “the best send off possible” for him.
