Mr Fanty and Mr Yanbak have also been charged with conspiracy to commit murder at Osgathorpe Park, Pitsmoor, on October 31, conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life between October 3 and November 17 and to possessing an offensive weapon.

Both of their cases were committed to Sheffield Crown Court where they appeared via a video-link for a joint hearing today, Thursday, November 26.

Judge Jeremy Richardson QC, The Recorder of Sheffield, said: “It’s a very serious matter and the allegations could not be more serious.”

Judge Richardson QC adjourned the case until December 14 for a Plea, Trial and Preparation Hearing when a third defendant, who was due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today, will be expected to join Mr Fanty and Mr Yanbak at the next hearing.

Judge Richardson QC added: "Further more, there is another man coming to this court tomorrow or Monday and all your cases will therefore be combined and you will appear before me on December 14.”

Judge Richardson QC also earmarked a provisonal date of July 5 for a trial but alternatively indicated the trial could be heard in August.

He added: “It looks like this case will be tried during the summer. We will finalise the date in approximately two weeks’ time.”

Mr Fanty and Mr Yanbak were remanded in custody.
