Two more arrests in murder investigation of Doncaster man Lewis Williams

Two more men have been arrested as part of a Doncaster murder investigation after Lewis Williams was fatally shot.

The victim was shot dead on Wath Road, Mexborough, on Monday afternoon.

Paramedics battled to revive him but he could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 20 year-old man from the Rotherham area was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender on Tuesday evening, while a 23 year-old man from the Doncaster area was also arrested this morning on suspicion of murder.

Both suspects remain in police custody.

Five people have now been arrested following Lewis Williams’ death.

They include a 20-year-old man and two boys, aged 16 and 17, who were all arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday and remain in police custody.
