Two men sought after knifepoint robbery in Barnsley

South Yorkshire Police is tracking down two men believed to be involved in a recent knifepoint robbery in Barnsley.

In a statement, the police said the incident took place at Co-op on Barnsley Road, Cudworth at around 7.40am on Saturday (November 21).

During the incident, one of the men allegedly threatened the staff with a large knife and stole cigarettes.

Although no one was injured, the police said the staff members were left distressed by what happened.

CCTV images have now been released of the two men the police want to speak to as part of their enquiries.

The police urge those who recognise these men or have any information that might help to contact 101 quoting crime reference number 14/171849/20.
