Two men re-arrested over murder of Sheffield student Isaiah Usen-Satchell

Detectives investigating the death of 18-year-old Isaiah Usen-Satchell in Sheffield have re-arrested two men on suspicion of murder as enquiries continue.

The Sheffield men, both aged 18, had previously been arrested on suspicion of murder on 1 January and bailed.

Yesterday (Tuesday March 10), they were re-arrested and subsequently bailed until the beginning of April.

Mr Usen-Satchell, a student at Leeds Trinity University, was taken to hospital on New Year’s Day, after receiving slash wounds to his arms during a reported fight between a group of men on St Aidans Road, at about 4.20am that morning.

He sadly died later that day as a result of an injury near to his wrist.

A total of five men have been arrested in connection to the investigation so far.

Detectives in Sheffield now have three knife crime murder enquiries running in the city at the same time.

Detectives are also still investigating the murder of 21-year-old Kavan Brissett, who was stabbed in Upperthorpe, in August 2018.

Jordan Marples-Douglas, aged 23, was stabbed to death in a house on Woodthorpe Road, Woodthorpe, on Friday, March 6.
