Two men have appeared in court in Sheffield charged with murdering a pizza delivery worker.

Thavisha Lakindu Peiris, aged 25, died after he was allegedly attacked as he made a delivery in Southey, Sheffield, last November.

Shamraze Khan, aged 25, of Southey Crescent, Southey and a 17 year old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, are both charged with murder.

They are also charged with two counts of robbery each in relation to a separate incident.

They appeared via video link and were remanded in custody. They will appear again in June to enter their pleas.

Mr Peiris, who was originally from Sri Lanka, came to the UK to finish an IT degree and graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2011.

He was working his last shift for Dominoes Pizza when he died and had been due to start a dream job in IT.
