Two men appear in court in connection with shootings on Sheffield estate

Two men appeared at court today charged over two shootings on a Sheffield estate.

Kai Smith, aged 18, of Villiers Close, Arbourthorne and Bradley Jenkins, 27, of Waverley View, Catcliffe, Rotherham, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court charged with two counts of attempted murder over gun attacks on the Manor estate.

On Wednesday, January 6, shots were fired at three people outside a house on Castledale Croft and at a person on nearby Prince of Wales Road an hour later.

Two women, aged 42 and 28, and a 23-year-old man were fired at in the first attack.

The man fled on foot to nearby Prince of Wales Road, where he was shot at again.

He suffered shotgun injuries to his arms and hand and was taken to hospital for treatment along with the 42-year-old woman, who was also injured.

The 28-year-old woman suffered minor injuries.
