Two arrested after shots fired at Rotherham house

Two men have been arrested after shots were fired on a Rotherham road.

The shots were fired in the Chaucer Road area of East Herringthorpe yesterday evening (Monday, November 2) before police were called to a two-vehicle collision at around 8.15pm.

After the collision – which involved a silver 4x4 vehicleand one other vehicle – two men ran off, with the police working on the belief that the collision is linked to the firearms incident.

No one was injured in either incident but two men were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and remain in police custody.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who saw what happened or who has information which could help their investigation to come forward.

They are particularly keen to speak to people who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident.
