Two arrested after assault in South Yorkshire leaves man in ‘serious condition’

Police said they were called to a property on Novello Street in Maltby on Monday (20 April) following reports a man had been assaulted earlier that morning at about 9.20am.
The victim – a 59-year-old man – was taken to hospital in Rotherham, where he remains in a “serious condition”, police said.

Hide AdOn Wednesday afternoon two men, aged 30 and 32, were arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in custody.
