Two 19-year-old men charged over Khuram Javed killing

Two further men have been charged in connection with the murder of solicitor Khuram Javed two months ago.

South Yorkshire Police 19-year-old Atif Mohamed of Sharrow Lane, Sheffield and Tinashe Kampari, also 19 of Donavan Road, Sheffield have been charged with offences of assisting an offender in connection with the murder.

They both appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on June 2 and June 3.

Atif Mohamed has been bailed, and Tinashe Kampari has been remanded into custody pending a further hearing.

Police were called to Clough Road, Sheffield at 9.40pm on Saturday 10 April to reports that a man had been shot.

Khuram, who was also known as Khurm Javed, 30 was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem concluded that the father-of-two died of a gunshot wound.

Another man, Samsul Mohamed, 18, of Wolseley Road was charged with murder on 26 April and was remanded into custody.

Enquiries are continuing.
