Two 15-year-old boys arrested by South Yorkshire Police after man is critically injured in attack

Two 15-year-old boys are in police custody after a man was critically injured in an attack in Thurnscoe.

The boys were among four suspects arrested after a 32-year-old man was found with a serious head injury outside a house in the Houghton Road area of Thurnscoe.

South Yorkshire Police was alerted to the discovery of the man in a call from ambulance staff at around 6.55pm yesterday and an investigation was launched.

A man was critically injured in an attack in Houghton Road, Balby, Doncaster

The injured man was taken to hospital and is in a critical condition today.

A police cordon is in place while officers carry out enquiries.

In addition to the teenage suspects, two men, aged 36 and 34, are also in police custody.

They were arrested on suspicion of wounding.

Anyone with information about how the man sustained his injuries should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 650 of June 5.
