Abbott pleaded guilty to exceeding the drink-drive limit after registering 100 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when the limit is 35 microgrammes.

The probation service stated Abbott, who is a baker, had been upset after an argument and he decided to drive home after drinking.

Abbott was remorseful, according to the probation service, and realised he could have killed someone but he is seeking assistance and says he needs all the help he can get.
