Trio charged with attempted murder after shootings on Sheffield estate

Two men and a woman have been charged with attempted murder after shootings on a Sheffield estate.

They were arrested after guns were fired at homes on Errington Avenue and Aylward Road, Arbourthorne, on Tuesday night.

The gun attacks were reported to South Yorkshire Police less than 10 minutes apart.

Nobody was injured in either incident but windows of both properties fired at were hit with bullets.

Police patrols were stepped up in the wake of the shootings but there was another firearm incident on nearby Kenninghall Road last night, which is still under investigation.

South Yorkshire Police said gunshots were fired at around 7.30pm.

Joshua Motteshead, aged 20, of St Aidan’s Avenue, Norfolk Park; Demi Dunford, 24, of Derby Street, Heeley; and Nicky Haycock, 22, of Ironside Close, Gleadless Valley, have all been charged with attempted murder and remanded into police custody.

They are due at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today.
