Three shootings on same Sheffield street 'not linked' say police
A gun fired outside a takeaway on Longley Avenue West, Shirecliffe, on Monday, October 19 was the third shooting on the same street in three years.
In the latest incident, nobody came forward to report being shot at or injured but police cordoned off the crime scene and found evidence of a firearm discharge.
Street furniture was damaged in the shooting.
No arrests have yet been made over the incident.

Hide AdPolice patrols were stepped up after the shooting, which was the third in the same street in as many years.
In March 2019 shots were fired at a vehicle at the junction of Longley Avenue West and Shirecliffe Road.
And In July 2017, a 19-year-old man was left fighting for life after a shooting which detectives said was a targeted attack.
South Yorkshire Police said: “The shootings are not believed to be linked.
