Three men hospitalised following Sheffield street brawl, and residents say fighting continues

Three men were hospitalised after taking part in a street brawl in Page Hall, Sheffield, yesterday (July 25).

Police were called to reports of a disturbance involving a large group of people on Hinde House Road in the Page Hall area of Sheffield at around 4.10pm.

Officers attended and engaged with the group.

Three men were taken to hospital with injuries, which are not life threatening.

Enquiries are continuing into individuals that have been identified as involved in the incident.

Nasar Raoof, vice chair of the Firth Park Neighbourhood Network, an action group campaigning for greater police action to combat crime in the area, criticised the response to the incidents.

He said: “Local residents have reported that no or little police has responded to these incidents. Furthermore up and till writing this message there are still fights breaking out in random streets across Page Hall.

"Residents are living in complete fear once again and our most vulnerable are being left to fend for themselves. We have a very short time ago contacted the superintendent and raised my concerns with him.

“We strongly urge all to not put themselves at any risk or confront anyone. If you witness an incident is happening then and there please contact 999 immediately.”

Footage of the brawl was shared online.

South Yorkshire Police said there will be an increased police presence in the Page Hall area today to provide reassurance to residents.
