Three men and a teenager stand accused of murder after Sheffield stabbing

Three men and a teenager have denied murder after a 21-year-old man suffered stab wounds and later died.

Lewis Bagshaw, 21, was found wounded on Piper Crescent, near the Southey area of Sheffield, before he was taken to hospital and was later pronounced dead.

The four accused appeared at Sheffield Crown Court today, Tuesday, January 14, accused of committing murder on July 21, 2019.

They include Callum Ramsey, 18, of Batworth Drive, Shirecliffe; Jervaise Bennett, 20, of no fixed abode; and Nicki Humphrey, 42, of Avenue Grove, Harrogate.

A 17-year-old boy, of no fixed abode, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been accused of murder.

All four defendants have pleaded not guilty to murder.

Humphrey and the 17-year-old have also pleaded not guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent to Daniel Cutts, between May 13 and May 16, 2019.

Mr Justice Matthew Nicklin adjourned the case for a trial to begin tomorrow, January 15.
