Three arrests made following suspected murder at High Green

Police and emergency services had been called out following reports of a man being assaulted on South Road, in High Green, some time shortly before 1am, on Saturday.

A 45-year-old man was found to have serious injuries and was sadly pronounced dead whilst he was being taken to hospital.

The latest arrest of a 31-year-old man was the third one which had been made today.

It follows this morning’s arrests of a 25-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman. All three people are still being held in police custody as the investigations continue South Yorkshire Police reported on its Twitter feed just after 5pm, tonight, Saturday, January 30.

Police say that enquiries into the incident are ongoing and if anybody has any information they should call them on 101 and quoting the incident number of 54 of 30 January.
