Three arrested on suspicion of murder after man’s body found at Doncaster flat

A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man’s body at a house in Doncaster.

Officers descended on the flat in Hatfield House, Grove Place, Balby, shortly after 11pm last night (Wednesday, August 26) and found the body of a 39-year-old man.

Three people present at the scene were detained on suspicion of murder, say South Yorkshire Police.

The man's body was discovered at a flat in Grove Place.

Two women, aged 45 and 40, and a 21-year-old man remain in police custody at this time, the force added.

Formal identification of the body and a post mortem examination are yet to take place.

The force said that a police cordon will remain in place throughout the day as enquiries into the man’s death continue.

Anyone with information about the man’s death is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting the incident number 926 of August 26.
