Three arrested in 'stabbing' near Sheffield primary school

Police have arrested three people after a young man was stabbed round the corner from a Sheffield primary school.

The emergency services were called to Ellesmere Road North in Pitsmoor, close to Byron Wood Primary School, at 2.25pm yesterday (Thursday, September 10) following reports that a 20-year-old man had been stabbed.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.

Two 21-year-old men and an 18-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody, South Yorkshire Police confirmed.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is continuing and officers are keen to hear from any witnesses as well as anyone who may hold CCTV in the area.
