Officers from the Sheffield North East Neighbourhood Team executed six simultaneous warrants in early morning raids on Emerson Crescent yesterday (Tuesday September 15).Three people were arrested for multiple offences including conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. They have since been released under investigation whilst forensic work is carried out.

Sergeant Scott Sarson said: “Yesterday was a significant morning of activity for us; six warrants carried out on one street to deal with drug supply and exploitation. These are properties that the community are concerned about, which means it’s even more important we act.“In addition to the three arrests made, two people were also voluntarily interviewed for further offences.“We are now working on securing a closure notice for one of the properties, which we know is at the centre of drug dealing and a lot of anti-social behaviour in the area.“Yesterday we also had partner agencies involved, including the local street wardens, Sheffield City Council’s Housing Officers and the Community Safety Team.”Drug and alcohol services also took part in the operation.Sgt Sarson added: “People living in this part of Parson Cross will see a bit more of us this week, we’re going to have officers in the area talking to people about burglary prevention and other issues. I’d ask that people do stop and chat to us, we’re there for you.”
