Three arrested after gunshots in Sheffield damage cars and house

Two men and a woman have been arrested after gunshots damaged two cars and a house window in Shirecliffe.

Detectives are investigating after a member of the public reported hearing five or six loud bangs in the Firshill Crescent area at around 6pm on Saturday, September 5.

Officers are also investigating potential links’ to a shooting at the nearby Timber Tops public house on September 1 in which a 23-year-old man was injured.

The men, aged 27 and 22, and a 21-year-old woman were arrested this morning and are being questioned by officers.

Police are carrying out further enquiries in the Handsworth Road area of Sheffield and the public may notice an increased police presence.

Two other men, aged 21 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences on Monday and have been bailed pending further enquiries.
