Carl suffered head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident is urged to come forward.

Carl’s niece, Tyhanna-mai Queen, has sent up a fundraising appeal on the Go Fund Me online crowdfunding site to help with funeral costs and so far over £4,500 has been raised.

She said: “We have set up this page to take away the added worry from my grandma and granddad whilst planning the greatest send off that my uncle Carl deserved.

“Carl's life was tragically taken far too soon which will leave a huge hole in so many people’s lives.

“So let's remember Carl for the life and soul of any party, who brought joy and laughter wherever he went. A smile that lit up any room and will never ever be forgotten.

“Rest in peace my Uncle Carl, we all love you so very much.”
