Third arrest in connection to Arbourthorne shootings

A third man has been arrested in connection to the firearms discharges in Sheffield earlier this week.

On Tuesday 30 June, officers were called to Errington Avenue shortly before 9:45pm following reports of a firearms discharge. At 9:53pm, a call was received reporting that shots had also been fired on Aylward Road.

Last night (1 July) officers arrested a 20-year-old man and a 24 year-old woman on suspicion of attempted murder. They both remain in police custody.

This morning (2 July) officers have arrested a third person, a 22 year-old man from Sheffield on suspicion of attempted murder. He also remains in police custody.
