Thief steals case of beer

Have your say

A THIEF broke into a Sheffield restaurant and stole a case of beer.

The intruder broke into the business on Chesterfield Road after forcing open a rear window to get inside.

The till was opened but it was empty so the thief escaped with alcohol instead.

On the same night – Friday into Saturday – Carfield Primary School on Argyle Road, Meersbrook, was also broken into.

The offender or group of intruders responsible forced open the rear door to the canteen.

Nothing was stolen during the break-in and because the stand-alone building is not connected to the main school nothing was taken from any of the classrooms.

Police are investigating both incidents.
