Josh Bailey, 27, pleaded guilty to two burglaries and two shoplifting offences at Sheffield Crown Court yesterday (3 June).

Sergeant Ben Brown from the Sheffield South West Neighbourhood Team said: “Bailey was arrested earlier this week after some great investigation work linked him to two burglaries on Ecclesall Road.

“The first was at Café Aroma on 7 May and the second took place at Nonna’s on 9 May. He also pleaded guilty to shoplifting at Tesco on Abbeydale Drive and breaching his bail conditions previously imposed on him.

“Our hospitality industry has been under severe pressure over the last year and quite rightly someone like Bailey, who is intent on causing them further distress, is behind bars.

“I’d encourage local businesses to work with their local neighbourhood policing team so we can continue to trace individuals like Bailey."
