One woman whose garden backs onto High Storrs school field said her residents filled five bags of rubbish during a litter-pick on Saturday morning as they attempted to clear up some of the mess and make the field safe for children.
The woman, who did not want to be named, said teenagers smashed beer bottles against goal posts, leaving shattered glass on the pitch where her 11-year-old son plays football.

The woman said: “Some parents say it’s not our kids but they are only going to be kids that are local.
“My neighbours have a two-year-old and you can’t sit in your garden because their language is atrocious.”
Richard O’Brien, whose garden also backs on to the field, said teenagers who regularly gather on the field jump a fence to get onto it. He estimated as many as 40 of them were also gathered until around 10pm on Thursday.

Nitrous oxide canisters, cigarette butts, bottles and pizza boxes were also littered across nearby Endcliffe Park on Saturday morning, according to reports on social media, with one person claiming police escorted people off the park at around 11pm on Friday.
