Teenager in critical condition after crash involving 25 VEHICLES in car park

An 18-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after colliding at speed with a roundabout before crashing into a nearby car park and damaging 25 parked vehicles.

Police said the crash took place on Park Spring Road roundabout, close to the ASOS warehouse, in Grimethorpe on Thursday evening.

A spokesperson said: “It is reported that at around 8:50pm, a black Vauxhall Corsa collided at speed with the roundabout on Park Springs Drive. The car subsequently crashed into the car park of a nearby warehouse and damaged 25 parked vehicles.

"The driver of the Corsa, an 18-year-old man, suffered life threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital via ambulance where he remains in a critical but stable condition.”

Police now want to hear from anyone who may have information about what happened.
