Teenager is charged with murder of Sheffield father

A 17-year-old has today (17 September) been charged in connection with the death of Marcus Ramsay in Sheffield.

In the early hours of Saturday 8 August, police responded to reports of disorder in Horninglow Road, Firth Park.

While at the scene officers were alerted to Mr Ramsay, who had suffered a stab wound. The 35-year-old was taken to hospital but sadly died shortly after he arrived.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon after being arrested yesterday (Wednesday 16 September). He has been remanded to appear before Sheffield Magistrates tomorrow.

This is the second person to be charged in connection to Mr Ramsay's death. Another 17-year-old, also charged with murder, appeared at court on Friday 28 August and was remanded in to custody.
